These simple Terms and Conditions govern the Rise Up PR 2025 competition, organised by PRmoment (The Promoter). By registering a team, all entrants agree to be bound by these T&Cs.
1. Eligibility and Entry
- Eligibility: The competition is open only to UK PR students.
- Team Size: Entries must be submitted by a team of two students.
- Entry Fee: There is no fee to enter the competition.
- Entry Method: To enter, teams must:
- Register for a team account
- Download and complete the entry form
- Develop a response to the live brief provided by Macmillan Cancer Support
- Upload the pitch deck (max. 4Mb, .pdf only) and the entry form (max. 4Mb, .doc, .docx, or .pdf) to the online account, along with your entry form
- Registration Deadline: The deadline for team registration is Friday 30 January 2026.
- Submission Deadline: The deadline to upload the pitch deck and entry form is Thursday 5 March 2026. PRmoment is not responsible for entries that are not received due to technical issues or for any incomplete or late entries.
- Live Pitch: Teams are required to deliver a 20-minute pitch followed by a 10-minute Q&A to an independent jury of PR experts on Tuesday 10 March 2026.
2. Prizes and Judging
- Prizes: The competition offers the following rewards for the top 3 teams:
- 1st Place: £1000 cash prize per team, a paid internship with a top PR employer, and mentoring.
- 2nd Place: £500 cash prize per team, a paid internship, and mentoring.
- 3rd Place: £250 cash prize per team, a paid internship, and mentoring.
- Prize Terms: Cash prizes, internships, and mentoring are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered for non-cash elements. Internship dates are flexible and tailored to employer/student needs.
- Winner Selection: Winners will be chosen by an independent jury of PR experts who will evaluate the campaigns.
- Winner Announcement: Winners will be revealed at the winner's lunch in central London on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.
3. Mentoring
- Mentorship: Each team is entitled to three 1-hour mentoring sessions with an experienced PR professional. Mentors will provide guidance and feedback on the teams' campaign plans.
- Scheduling: Teams must arrange to meet virtually with their mentor after they are introduced on Tuesday 3 February 2026, for pitch development throughout February/early March 2026.
4. Publicity and Data
- Publicity: By entering, winners agree to the use of their team name and participation in publicity material.
- Data Protection: Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current data protection legislation.
5. General
- Promoter's Rights: The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of any circumstance outside of the Promoter's control.
